Call me an apple fanboy or whatever, but my iMac and MacBook Pro are both 6~7 years old now and still work like a charm, while none of my old PCs or laptops ranging from Toshiba, Dell, Lenovo, Compaq aged more than 3~4 years

I'd give it out for free, hate Toshiba and anything it makes. I bought a Qosmio in 2004 the price was over 2K and spent another 2K on it during the next 3 years for repairs and parts before throwing it in the trash...

@reduxtris hey, I've been playing with react-native for the past few months and want to share what I've learned, react-native is perfect for fast prototyping or making simple apps with a few views and standard functionality, but if you wanna make a heavy app with lots of views, location, map, photos, permissions, notifications etc. you'll have a difficult time dealing with 3rd party libraries and keeping up with versioning etc. its not a maintainable tech yet

@simeg maybe you're right, it's OK if people play it normally, go out and get some exercise... but when all Google suggestions for "find" is about Pokemons and hundreds of people would go out at 2am, even get injured in the crowd means they're over enthusiastic or addicted to it, they could've done lots of more useful things with their time, also on a "conspiracy theory" side, when I see a corporation is able to push a button and make hundreds of people go somewhere or do stuff, that doesn't smell good to me... no one should let a company, game or social network gain that sort of control over their behaviour... and btw, I don't hate anyone

I quit my job in 2011, one if the (many) reasons was that the company still wanted to support IE6 and I was the front-end developer

@fuzzy if you don't see a problem in watching a large group of people rushing somewhere to get some dumb virtual worthless thing in the middle of the night like a herd of sheep, well thats a part of the problem itself

@bluefirex yeah but living in the real world there are still a huge chunk of users running Android 4 while others use 5, 6 and there are a ton of breaking changes between each version, and users can't even upgrade their devices, whereas any iPhone 4S+ can upgrade to iOS 9 and there aren't much breaking changes between iOS 8~9, so I'd say its much more pleasant to develop apps for iOS than dealing with Android and its packages versioning and fragmentation

@kevbost yes, agreed... but I'm speaking as a developer not an end user, I actually have a lot of respect for Android developers who can really get this fragmented thing to work
