Before I read the end, I thought she gave them your contact so you now are a tech support for a bunch of moms, but this is an unexpectedly cool ending.
-
At least it can be fixed (i hope), not like pulseaudio, which used to crash itself to hell everytime I muted/deafened myself on Discord, because why not.
-
@irene .com stands for commercial (and a portfolio is some kind of commercial), not company, also, nobody enforces that you can only choose for example .org if you are an organization. It's the most widely used and easiest to remember tld.
-
They started forcing HTTPS for .dev domains two years ago in Chrome, even tough it wasn't a real tld, seems like this was the reason behind it.

Sometimes we have to do this is in high school, too, but my teacher always says that if there is any syntax error, he won't care, because the developer environment / editor would warn you anyway.
I don't think it's that bad, because running your program in every second just to test it makes your work significantly slower, a good programmer should be able to run his program in his/her head. -
I really enjoyed What-if, nice to see that others are reading it, too. I'm currently reading 1984. It's not IT related, but an interesting read.

I'm using LastPass, basically, it does what it has to, but their (at least on Android) app is terrible. Often logs out randomly several times in a minute and has some bugs.
The upside of using a password manager is that I can have 40 chars long passwords without having to remember them, so it's pretty cool.
Bitwarden is open source and has a self-hosted version, you should check it out definitely. -
@githapppens
Szia!
I don't know if emptying the downloads folder is turned on by default, or not, but if yes, and windows decides to turn on this storage sense stuff, one might lose a complete downloads folder real quick.

Hmm, I didn't get any updates recently. Is it some telco specific update?

Beta or stable channel?

Some people don't have the type of thinking required for programming in the beginning, so code.org and similar sites can make them understand it.
Years before, in my class, we had to learn with it, too. I noticed that people who took the time and completed every single lesson, they now can code every single task without problem. But the ones who were lazy af, and didn't do anything, now are sucking, and failing from every compsci subject.
If you have the talent, and you can solve the tasks without hassle, it's definitely good, but if the others don't understand it, and are pulling back everyone, that really sucks (experience). -
My first thought: yeah, you might suck, but here in Hungary education is probably worse
*checks out where @ganjaman is from*
Also me: ohh -
@CozyPlanes I think this one, that's been en route for a while is a Microsoft Hacktoberfest shirt. Could it be the same for you? 😂
-
Still better than mine. Every single day, DHL "updates" the status of my package to "En route".
Very informative -
If it sounds terrible, but it wor... no, it's just terrible.
-
@Linux would use if it existed, but since the API is currently undocumented, (the only info we got is from the inbuilt Swagger client) many of the endpoints can't be used..
I'm too potato for networking to analyze the traffic of it, but I'm sure that in the close future, there will be alternative clients. -
Aaaaand I just posted it as a rant.
Should post more often, wouldn't forget it. -

Bigger box is usually higher, so it grows vertically, but if you put two servers next to each other, they grow horizontally.

I was waiting for a rantNov6 tag on your rant..

Lol, I just wrote the previous comment from the top of my head, and I just saw that both blockchain and machine learning courses are in the email in the post
