@IntrusionCM
"@telephantasm why is k8s no longer a useful choice oO"
Unnecessary* == maybe "useful" is not the word, so let's go with "unnecessary"
I replied to YOU, so no one has to "guess". Now, have an answer? -
@IntrusionCM unnecessary*
-
@AlmondSauce This is clearly old and non-white people's faul! Fucking assholes should just find a place where they're wanted without disturbing decent young white workers. I feel you, man. Hate when this happens >:(
-
The important question for me would be: if k8s is no longer a useful choice in 2021, then what are the alternatives?
-
They ALWAYS do.
-
At that age I was phishing for Gunbound accounts :(
-
@ronswansonator that sounds awesome... Care to share some detail on which aspects it is better than eclipse?
-
Nah.
-
Well I assumed you used it for private projects. But, I actually don't know of anyone who uses it for enterprise webapps, that's why I specifically asked you that. Just wanted to hear a professional Vue dev's point against 3, because I really don't wanna waste my time like that time we all switched from AngularJS to Angular (REMEMBER GUYS?).
-
Hey, how different do air fried fries taste compared to oil fried ones? Is the texture better or worse?
-
Hey, OP. Were you working on enterprise level applications with VueJs before 3 came out?
-
Depends on the situation. If you are talking about new hires then you're wrong because you can't expect them to know the business and the MOs and other crap that's new to them quickly. If you're talking about old members of your team my guess based on personal experience would be that they could be:
- simply lazy and not proactive
- dumb or afrraid to appear dumb asking questions
If you're dealing with new people give them a chance, otherwise have them moved to another team or fired. -
@junon ever occurred to you that's just your mom? I know plenty of people over 60 who do just fine with all that crap...
Normal people are the great majority of users enjoying the crap you dislike, I don't even include myself in that group, so don't get all offended on me. -
@AlmondSauce that "crap" is what normal people love, though. So, no crap, no new users.
-
@dUcKtYpEd can you tell us, though? So we know and be cool and special like you guys and your references? :)
-
Fucking send them that!!!
-
I mean... I shit at times. What's wrong with that :v
-
So, you do this kewl feature, but no "jump to quote", huh?
-
Dude, just go ahead and do it for 2 reasons:
1) Even if you're bound to fail, it's still experience...
2) Last time I went job hunting, I had to pass a time-limited, no-second-chances online tech quiz. So, I started the quiz, but for some personal issues that came up at the moment I couldn't continue. Hell, I didn't even answered the first one. But guess what? They still offered me the position.
Now, I know what you're thinking, that company that wanted me despite the fact that I didn't do the test must be shit or desperate, and it could be, but if it happens to you and you're OK with the pay, the position and the project, you can always take the offer. You can definitely gain EXPERIENCE.
Good luck, man. -
What fuck kind of UI/theme is that?
-
Ugh. You sound like a bitchy girlfriend there: "All I wanted you to do was to make a decision, baby. I had the capacity to do what was needed, but not until you behaved like I wanted you to ^_^. Now that you have we can move on". LOL.
Kidding aside, shit boss or not. That was kind of uptight. -
Think positive: maybe he hates Python, but HAD to use it, because work demands that he does. Maybe he's so good at dev'ing that he mastered Python even though he hates it.
-
The thing is, the initial docs have to actually explain the stuff they were written for. If not, you'd be just rearrenging words.
-
Personally, I don't understand how EVERY dev is not like that... Seriously, we built those scripts because we're fucking lazy and hate slow shit, not because we want to make things better for everyone. Why doesn't everybody look for the easiest and fastest way of doing things? WHY?
-
@SortOfTested I agree. And I'm not against the use of IntelliJ nor am I critizicing its users. All I'm saying is that the people I know who use IntelliJ really can't make a compelling argument when asked about their choice of IDE. They basically use it, just because someone told them it was cool. Like when the herd started hating on pineapple pizza just 'cause social media told them to.
-
Can you state why, though? I tried both and I still prefer Eclipse. When people come to me with stuff like "IntelliJ is so cool mang, it has conditional breakpoints, maaang". Yeah? So does Eclipse. "yeah, but IntelliSense maaaang". Eclipse's got a good enough autocomplete. "Yeah, but using IntelliJ makes you cool, maaaaang".

You're in Arequipa, right? International niche for IT talents. I'm not good enough to get a job over there, haha. Congrats on all your success. I hope this damn country treats you well.
-
A developer said that? Fire that imbecile inmediately.
QA people on the other hand, are expected to be that dumb, see here:

IntelliSense is bullshit. You're not "kewl" for using Vim. Also, fuck IntelliJ. Eclipse'll do.
