msi
-
Same for me, don't know what's stopping me.
-
- had 0 years experience
- applied for 2 dev jobs, one was junior, one was without telling any level
- got accepted at both
- told one i'm not coming
- he gave me a huge salary boost if i start in his company
- still didn't go because other job was more interesting
at least where i live it's easy as fuck to get hired as a junior dev if you did a bit more than just your schools programming homework -
@cantthinkofone
check out scotchbox, trust me it's by far the easiest thing
it's a prebuild virtual box VM which you can install with one command
far easier then wamp....
https://box.scotch.io/ -
@cantthinkofone ok, i get it now :D
i can only guess what to do since i don't have any experience in WAMP, i'm using Docker or Vagrant myself. (which i would strongly recommend, much less pain in the ass)
but it looks like wamp wants you to delete your path variable, i would just play around with it
much luck anyway! -
@cantthinkofone why don't you just change the PATH?
do you have a picture of the error, not just the path output? -
Thats why i used an old pic :D
-
@vlatkozelka Double sided duct tape...
Just kidding, i just made screwed some screws directly from the backplate to the wall behind it.
It's a mess to re-mount it (which i have to do to refill the water coolant), but looks cool and you don't need some special wall mounting. -
@MySlugLikesSalt Haha, definetly the best looking one :D
And not so much of a dust catcher like everyone says
Do you have a pic of yours? -
@Irithyll i too started to use Arch.
But i haven't got the time setting everything up yet... -
@Irithyll :D
I used Backtrack (now known as Kali) back then. But i don't see purpose on using it now. I'm not so much into security stuff anymore and if i need a certain tool i install it.
Tried Parrot too, but never worked much with it. Just the nice Wallpapers :D
Do you use it? / Did you use it? -
@undef It's on purpose a bit edgy. I like that. Everything needs to look like a 90's hacker movie.
-
@Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll @Irithyll
I have no idea why i mentioned you twice :D -
@Irithyll @Irithyll Yeah also the Ubuntu Logo in the Lockscreen fit's perfectly :D
I also enjoy using it with a transparent Vim terminal. -
@undef I can tell you that when i get home. It's an old Samsung TV.
Cost a shit ton back then in 2010...
Wouldn't recommend it if you buy a TV now. -
@undef Exactly. It has a "PC Mode" where you have not Input Lag etc.
-
@Irithyll Just as a Background. It's Ubutunu...
I'm a bit ashamed of myself for that -
Just wanted to tell you a bit from the otherside, as i'm a bit between marketing&tech.
It can be really cool if people cooperate with marketing. (if your marketing department has skills of course)
I don't think you can say it's bad in general. -
So here i am, a developer in a marketing department of a medium sized company.
But it's actually a pretty cool job where you can try out a lot of things, i quite like it.
I'm only responsible for coding stuff (companies website, blog, SEO, CRM like software or even games for fairs etc.) but i see that other people in my department aren't respected just because they work in marketing.
When they ask people if they have an interesting project to share they simply don't answer.
Hell, some don't even pickup the phone when they see it's from marketing.
And if we then develop the campaigns without them based on assumptions we make (because they don't even tell us what technology they work with) we get complains as soon as the campaign launches because it's bullshit.
I even once got shouted at from an ex-employee just because i worked in marketing. (no joke, i didn't even know the guy)
It got a lot better after we said "we aren't doing anything if you don't work with us". -
Why is everyone loving Python so much but hating PHP?
For me as a PHP developer, i don't see any benefit from using Python.
Haven't really done much with Python though, so this isn't a rethorical question. -
I guess the only way to stop this mess is by brutally spamming it with false informations?
Is there a project that just likes, comments and texts random stuff on facebook that i'm not even interested in to make their tracking worthless?
Guess this would also be good for internet traffic.
Like creating false traffic on websites and googling something in the background just to make their data collection useless.
Then you could use their services normally without worrying. -
@Divisionbyzero hey! thanks :D
