Considering the skills you've listed, you should get something if you throw your CV out there.

Is your social network going to make money. In my opinion it's a risky one. What will make someone at random leave the instagram app to come over to yours,Its not impossible to make a social network that will earn good revenue and a high share price but it's going to be difficult.Ive done the Fiverr/upwork hustle and it's difficult to make a decent income, also it's far from consistent. You may need to look for a paying job to pay bills.

I have so many of these abandoned projects.I normally only upload something I feel is slightly "polished" to GitHub so these abandoned projects just sit in my storage.

How did the interview go
-
@olback how did you end up there.lol
-
Im really curious as to what this question was.I studied data structures last year so I might be able to solve it.
-
I wish I could double +1 this

There's a ton of tutorials made by indians.Whats a fun fact Is that I actually understand the tutorials where Hindi is spoken(I understand Hindi actually) better instead of a video made by a person speaking English in a Indian accent.

@BadFox it was a calculus exam.So all my studying involved learning and practising examples. You had to memorize some formulas and stuff.but most of it was practising.
-
Waiting for 2 o'clock for my maths exam to start.

The best option has been mentioned which Is to build a decent portfolio.in terms of getting a WordPress portfolio, you could actually approach a family member who needs a website or a local business who needs a website ,it will get you started.
Freelancing on Freelancer or Upwork is an option but the beginning of that journey will be rocky and you'll earn very little at first and for quite a while.
Otherwise you could build up your own projects and upload them to GitHub.
I'm sure you will be able to get a decent portfolio ready eventually.it will take time. -
@Floydian Hi,so I wanted to know whether automated testing is a job by itself or does title "software test engineer" a blanket term for manual testing and automated testing.I really enjoy creating selenium webdriver scripts and I've tried a few other test frameworks.

Little guest house/lodge room booking system.

Even though I'm in the same boat when it comes to bad grades in maths,I do encourage you to finish up and graduate. My thought is that going 2/3 of the way there and dropping it is not worth it considering you only have 1/3 of the way to go.
-
Whenever I do freelance job and client does that I just say "No problem ,just pay me x dollars and I'll get on it immediately"
-
@thevariableman I would have thrown employees 1,3,5 out the window if I were the product manager.
-
Old man clippy:And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids.

I'd wake up and get back to where I left off last night writing my python code in vim.

When it comes to what other courses you could take,It really depends where you are .Some universities might offer very similar courses like information systems without much maths.
Ive done 2nd year data structures, algorithms,p versus np problems, matrices etc.Alot of areas inside my computer science modules had maths and I passed those courses without problem.BUT I've been failing a calculus module a couple of times ( doing it again this year) .I don't know if I'm even allowed to advise you on maths at this point :) but you never know till you try.You might just reasonate with the maths and pass by working hard and by working on the areas you don't reasonate with.
If you have a couple of years to experiment with,I would just go for it and apply for a Computer Science degree.Everyone is different. You might just pass the maths module by working hard.
Go for it.Work hard and you'll probably have a cs degree In the near future. The degree is very valuable in the end. -
Very true.I once made small accelorometer based space Invaders type game in JavaScript and hosted it somewhere and I manually coded up EVERYTHING including collision detection.I showed this to my fellow compscience friends. They proceed to ask me why I wasted my time and why I didn't use a game framework.I always tell them it was for the fun of creating everything from scratch.
-
@ganjaman any java frameworks/libraries In specific?
-
@zmzmuazzam98 oh and I can't forget dueling my friends with Yu-Gi-Oh and duelmasters cards.

I was born in 1998 .Although I'm a developer and love tech now I'm happy to say there were no smartphones and tablets around that time.Nowadays I cringe when i see young children(as young as 2years old) using Smartphones and Tablets. I played lots of ps1 and ps2 games.I use to love Lego and building aircraft and cars with Lego.I also used to do lots of puzzles.I watched a lot of Dragonball z and other cartoons on those video casettes.other than that I used to be outside on the jungle gyms and at school.
-
@asgs The one I'm at.they told me if I fail a subject twice I will be "academically excluded"
-
PS I do have a small portfolio in web development.I also love Linux systems administration.
-
@FilipeRamalho in terms of a job.do you think anyone will hire me ,a self taught developer without a degree?
-
Lol.This is funny and something I've never seen before
