I'm fascinated by people buying these and the likes... For what reason again? You purposefully put an internet connected device with an always on microphone into your private environment. Ah! So it can remote control Spotify. Then everything is forgiven 😁

Always on doesn't mean always sending you know?
You can check what they send and how often, you just need some networktools, which are legal to use in your own network.

On a more serious note, who uses Meridia's Beacon as a plant pot???

@SAM41 so you're standing guard all the time and checking what it sends. Its software is also auto updated I assume, so that might change. But what if when you aren't home or asleep it just uploads everything at once? :D

What if your browser does the same with your Internet usage? But seriously we are not that clueless. You can check what it saves and you could even log all of it's internet traffic 24/7.
