Today in office one lady came to me and asked "how to reboot iPhone when it stuck?"
I'm android guy and using iPhone only for Dev purposes. So I never encountered such issues and was a bit confused.
Then I were smoking on the roof with coworker and asked:
- When last time you seen unresponsive android device?
- Hmm... I dunno
- And what about iPhone?
- Yeah, my wife's iPhone 7+ and daughter's iPhone 6 stuck regularly.
We laughed, but wtf?

Then I've tried to remember when Linux or Mac were stuck. Nothing.
Don't start holy war, please. Just noticed that.

Tbh I've never seen an iPhone user with a frozen phone, unless it's too damn old and running the latest heaviest OS.

But for Android only v4.4, 6, & 7 are good the rest always caused me trouble.

As for how to reboot an iPhone Power Button + Home button pressed together for few seconds

@gitpush for Android Power + Volume down

If you never saw a stuck linux you haven't been deep enough ๐Ÿ˜‚
Maybeee you don't feel like it's stuck since you can recover from a tty most of the time

It's probably the springboard process getting stuck. Happens a lot on iOS11. The phone is otherwise working fine.

@flag0 it's the same with a stuck windows, most of the time it's the shell and the kernel is doing fine, hence ctrl-alt-del works

It's just that some OSes give you more fallback options than others
