Man, I sort of hate when a new colleague enters the company’s GitHub org with a newly created GitHub account only for that job. I mean, I get it, but what’s the purpose of ‘an account’ if you’re going to have 10 or so accounts with all your work, stars, badges, contacts scattered all over them. Just have one, where we can actually get to know you as a fellow dev.

    Likewise, those businesses is no business of unintended readers. Dude's got a good knack of privacy.

    What people choose to share and what they don't is their choice. Keep your nose out.

    When your employment contract includes "all your code is ours, regardless of its intended purpose or useage" then yes, I will create a github account specific for that employer.
