Do any of you have jobs that actually stay in their damn lane?

I swear... First day back from leave and already I'm getting messages 10 minutes after I clock off

Yes, answering call after work is called customer support and I would charge for that.

@TheBeardedOne I would note time of every call and number for a week.

Remember to round every call to whole hour and inform client / manager that you worked overtime, point them the notes you made and numbers that called and you want that hours back.

If it’s your manager then tell him if he/she don’t mind if you don’t answer sometimes because you need to do important stuff ( name something that involves family ) don’t answer their calls for next 2 weeks

If they asked why you didn’t answer remind them the talk you had and your situation.

Note about family: it can be prosaic like pick up kids from school or visit mother or uncle or grandma.

Also male sure to not try to call it temporary thing and don’t provide any end time of the situation, nobody will ask you when you stop picking kids from school or stop visiting relatives every day. They will assume the worst if you won’t provide details.

If they ask about details just tell you don’t want to talk about it right now.

Unless you have some after hours duties, work shouldn't be able to reach you in your non-working hours.

@TheBeardedOne use work mode or second user account. Or heck, even a second phone.
