You practically run an operating system on it, are you gonna run it on 500kb of RAM?

beriba8557yThe amount of RAM that any browser use these days is kind of misunderstanding. Why do they need so much memory? A rocket sent to the moon almost 50 years ago had less RAM. Much less.
Once I opened 4MB json which was additionally parsed by some json extension. This single tab took around 700MB of RAM. What. The. Fuck? What are you using it for, browser? Computing π for fun?
I started using OneTab Chrome extension lately to deal with too many tabs and memory consumption. Awesome tool. Check it out. -
Well the fucking DOM of a simple website is one hella thing, memorywise. But on the other hand, it's accessed damn fast.😪

IndoDev4957yI found firefox is more ram friendly.
Usually I have almost 100tabs of firefox, VS code, virtual android, 2 terminals (for running backend n compiling frontend), explorer, n another terminal for package installation, still run much smoother than around 20+ chrome tabs
There is no planet in this multiverse where chrome should be using more ram than an ENTIRE VIRTUAL MACHINE. WHILE ITS COMPILING OPENCV!!! Seriously!?!?
