You could be young in the 90s paying $40 a meg for RAM. I bought 64 Gigs of ram for $110 the other day. I paid $160 for 4 megs in the 90s. Fucking insane. They are now talking about building Petabyte arrays for $30K. As far as computing goes we are living with flying cars and space ships. Real time 3D sims are getting to be normal now. I suspect some of the different areas of science are about to bust open as well. You are also not paying $500 to $1000 for a compiler either.
