Procrastination is weird... Their were a piece of code I wasn't looking forward to work on, so I started cleaning my apartment instead, putting some order in my files, and even tidy up my desk, which I didn't do for months 😐
And it finally took me 10min to actually write the code 😆
It's annoying, but I can't be the only one 🤔
At least I can enjoy a clean setup... Until it become a mess again...

I'm a horrible procrastinator but i also get into "get shit done" moods too.

For you cleaning is a trigger. I started keeping track of things that pushed me more into that mood, and im much more productive (and less stressed!). Then when I need to do shit I just do the things that get me into that mood, until I really am!

I've also found that making a mental list of obligations, and then assigning one task per day helps too! For me half the reason I don't start tasks is because I know it's alot of work. By instead just choosing to do the ONE task I "hate the least" that day I'm significantly more likely to start. Overtime commiting to only one task a day keeps it manageable, and I don't burn out.

    Good luck 😀

Honestly treating myself like a machine helps alot (track real world actions/events/inouts and my bodies response/action/output). It might sound weird but we're just emotional machines, if you can find the buttons you can trick yourself into whatever you want!

@stevemk14ebr I usually never procrastinate about code. From time to time their is one piece I don't want to see, but it is somewhat rare. If code procrastination is increasing, it's usually a deeper problem like exhaustion. As for anything else, it's an entire different story. It's just that sometimes, it gets inverted because that particular code is booooring. I also use a strict todo list that I break down into very small pieces to get things more "rewarding", maybe I should make a todo list to get shit done outside my computer .-.

I procrastinated to a point where I went solving other people's project while my project deadline was almost in my ass. So yeah relatable.
