saucyatom2467328dI have a Pixel 6a running Graphene OS. Never ran stock except maybe for first boot (with you should do to initialize some keys, iirc).
Graphene OS is awesome. I sometimes miss the customization of Lineage OS and root but I don't miss its many quirks.
I now run a single profile with sandboxed Google Play because I previously spent too much time/energy with MicroG and incompatible apps and while I'd prefer to keep Google further away, I realize that stressing too much about it fuels my anxiety. Stuff like contact scopes helps a lot though.
Battery life is not amazing. It gets through the day, but previously with a GS290 running /e/, I would only need to charge every 2 or 3 days, which was really nice. I'm not sure if the issue is hardware or Graphene OS. -
Parzi8663327d@saucyatom there's a magisk module to install microg properly and the only things that it doesn't do atm are
- notification auth for logins on other devices don't show up at all
- official google play kinda works but is incredibly unstable
you might give it another spin when they fix the auth notification issue. -
saucyatom2467327d@Parzi It kinda worked but some Apps (that depend on Google services) just never worked properly. Sucks if you can't use carsharing because the app needs proper Google Play Services and either doesn't work at all or doesn't get your location properly.
With Graphene OS I just use sandboxed Google Play Services and stop worrying about it (without giving Google root access to my phone).
new Google Pixels owners — do you like them? I mean those that have Google's Tensor SoC. Also, did you try Graphene OS? Did you like it?
