Why broken stuff is allowed through the door?

My Ubuntu, my Bluetooth headsets, Jira, my latest Google pixel, eCommerce shop where I purchase stuff everything lately seem to be full of bugs.

It seems like nobody cares about the quality of software pushed to production. Everyone is so quick to push those tickets into "released".

Fuck you, managers, shareholders, scrum masters, seniors who push developers to do stuff quickly rather than correctly.

getting things through the door is actually the goal, it's what managers get paid for. Making them work is just an investment in the brand when you can afford it.

    1. If e-comm shop is buggy, definitely dont purchase anything tech related. kinda common sense.

    2. Ubuntu doesnt really count as production... it's community sourced, open source, free, and not even EL.

    3. Bt earbuds/headsets, ref to #1?. if youre in the states lmk, those are of the several items a business i own sells(i inspect factory goods down to the literal solder points... not joking)

    4. Pixel is innately shitty with bad specs, jira also, but haven't used it much.

    5. Im not sure how/why this is surprises you. If u need to, blame all the people (apparently yourself incl) that buy/use crap because of a price tag/shiny marketing. None of this is new.

Idk your age. when digital cameras came around, there was sooo many guys buying for MP. they'd buy a 6mp camera for 3x cost of 4mp. They never realised the default (for either) was set at 2mp or less cuz even the expensive af SD cards wouldve barely held a dozen pics. Then theyd just buy a new one when the mp was more ridiculous.

Because we live in the era of "we can patch OTA if needed", so all quality assurance goes outta the window.
