Am I the only one that gets freaked out by this decimal point? Either stick with the comma or with the dot, but don't mix them!

    That's not a decimal, that's a string.

    Why the fuck dont the put it at the top of the number to seperate thousands?!

    @IllSlapU I don't think the European system is the global system.

    @Alice nope, only Europe uses , as decimal point and . as separator. All the other countries go with the other way around.
    Maybe 10 or so countries outside Europe too use it but that's about it.

    Switzerland uses 1'000.00 which I think makes far more sense than the other two.

    If a separator is needed to make large numbers readable, why not use space? E.g. "1 000 000 000.00". I'm from Europe, but programming is a second home to me, so I'm actually more comfortable with '.' than ',' as decimal.
