Question:
Do we have any Ingress players around here? What do you think about the upcoming Ingress Prime? I am somehow excited, but only because I just decided to upgrade my mobile phone some days ago 😉 Now the graphics boost can come. 😁 And I really hope that Niantic does not fuck up everything when they plan to be more entry level friendly in the future.

Well basically anyone that plays pokemon go is in some way also an ingress player, since the maps are the same and even all of the points+spawns are synced across both last time I checked.

I personally think that ingress did a weird job in explaining itself and marketing it too, never got into it much myself, so I am surprised theres still people actively playing it or that it's still a thing.

But I can see how niantic used is as that first kid, before they sat together with nintendo to do the more mass-friendly alternative.

@JoshBent well Ingress is hard to grasp at first sight, but the possibilities to play differently with your own targets and own style or in big collaboration operations is what that game makes great. I must admit, you have to invest a lot of time, but which gamer isn't doing that either in front of his computer or console.

@sladuled nah, tried it and lost interest pretty quickly (with the reasons in my last comment basically), it was also back then when it just came out, so I dont even remember anything I would have chosen.
