mundo0349787yMost people probably say it right because we knew about that thing before 'hashtags' and before knowing it is actually called octothorpe.
So we asked how to say it.. back then that thing was either a 'gato'(spanish) or a pound.
Let's say it correctly guys, C octothorpe. -
theuser48027y@mundo03 Actually, it is my understanding that the correct symbol is a musical note called "sharp" (which looks like # but tilted the other way)
Sharp means "higher in pitch", so its probably a play on C# being higher level than C. -
