kiki35188230dfun fact: you can walk unharmed on most anti-tank mines, as they're only triggered by very heavy things. It's not worth it to spend that much explosive power on a single soldier. However, most of them will detonate when lifted from the ground.

kanyewest479230d@kiki 80% of landmine casualties are civilians and children and usually happens postwar. Sadge.

kiki35188230d@kanyewest true. But there was a case when landmines that weren't removed kept people out of a certain beach area, which led to a thriving population of penguins.
Also, Mine Kafon exists! -
devJs1324230d@kiki tank mines are lesser evil, albeit triggering one by stepping on it surely shows that one should live a healthy life and not be morbidly obese.
Anti infantry ones, especially PROM-1(made in Yugoslavia) are so brutal that even kevlar body armor is no guarantee to stay safe.
My country was full of those, I think that there are still some, marked of course, areas that still has them. -
kiki35188230d@devJs I find so-called petal mines to be the cruelest. Brightly colored plastic thingys of interesting shapes that killed kids
Today is a day where I just want to kick start a fucking landmine!
