For the past couple of months I am trying to get a job in devops. I have 5y exp.

Suggest me something that actually works unlike junkshit recommendations on the internet.

How can I get a remote job here in India. Even I had remote jobs mostly. I feel I am missing on something this time.

I'll be honest with you.

I worked in devops for a while, and the vast majority of people in the field don't belong there. IT people attempting to get paid more and struggling to keep up.

DevOps is an advanced role, and your resume and interview need to show you have the chops.

Resumes should have lots of deliverables and metrics, and interviews should feel like opinionated tech talks. If you're not there yet, it's going to be difficult.

@kobenz yes. I primarily do devops stuff.

@lungdart I actually do have experience with most of the devops stuffs and I have been doing it as well. Just that market is bad and I might be missing something which I am not sure of

@spantheslayer the way you worded that makes me feel you're not one of the better ones.

DevOps is not being familiar with tools, it's the concepts behind breaking down walls between devs and IT.

The tools are nice to haves.
