Just realized I don't have a good social life outside home/college. Most of the time I spend time with my laptop and phone.
And at this moment am too afraid to socialize because my friends and family been doubting at my mental stability after seeing me talking to my PC.
Its been ages since I have played any games outside or hang around with friends. Sometimes I do hate the way I am now and want to ditch all these screens once and go gipsy around the world. Fml!!

Imo you’re just pinned down by social dogmas: people should be outgoing, have lots of friends, hang out with their friends lots, never talk to inanimate objects, etc. These are dogmas that have no sensitivity for the introvert and the shy, and glorifies a fixed “human” way of living (just things like “real man” or “real programmers”). Imo, they are apparent simply cause how extroversion and introversion work; you’d hear more from the extrovert than you do from the introvert, unless if you can somehow get close to many introverts.

As for talking to inanimate objects, I know people that talk to their plush toys when they feel down, and it helps them feel better. I don’t see what’s wrong doing that for your own computer.

What I want to relay is that don’t worry about how others think of you, even if they’re your own kin. Who’s to really dictate how you live if not yourself? Who’s to make that decision to take a step forward if not yourself?
