So I found out that
A) there's no Ham radio bandwidth
B) no Ham radio community
C) that Ham radio is technically illegal
D) but "easily could be made legal
And was considering applying for bandwidth allocation however, the way that applying works, implies a single studio, with equipment costs/budget and the likes.

Have any of you ever played with ham radio?

@ClemFrieckie with proper equipment, I could probably pick up signals from Maine, most likely Nunavut

I believe listening to ham is legal, broadcasting requires a license. Here in the states anyway.
