I mentioned on a cv about 10 years ago that I had maintained a website built on php. This CV is no longer in circulation and hasn't been for about 9.5 years, I'm still getting message from recruiters about php roles

Wow. A lot of recruiters are not tech savvy. Must be impossible for them to manage their data.

I get emails for jobs so foreign from my skills it is funny and sad.

I bet a recruiter with a great system that mines social media to match personality with future co-workers, matches skills to requirements, meshes in predictive analytics and intent to make a job change would save a lot of time and make a fortune.

I have frequent calls from recruiters offering me money if I can find a candidate who takes the job. Sometimes I wonder if I should ask if I can stay anonymous and give the number of fellow devs who wind me up...

Sounds like me with Drupal. I managed a Drupal site, but that was over 5 years ago and it's since been converted to WordPress.
