@iamroot not wanting to add to your stress with a inappropriate suggestion - but there is a pagination plugin for dataTables that might help with positioning.

I got so fucking sick of bloated crap that is datatables that I wrote an alternative a few years ago. Which got bloated as well.

Then I discovered that table elements are the root of all evil in html because they suffer from deprecations and historical mistakes, lack good responsive options, so now I just use divs with flex/grid to simulate tables.

Then I discovered that I really hate css and went from fullstack to backend/database.

Then I discover I really hate SQL, went into QA/testing, discovered I hate people, so now I'm really into expensive cognac and opium.
