Do you love or hate your project manager?

I NEVER EVER had a good project manager, so that means I hated all of them. Why? They have so fucken clue what needs to be done, they are not asking the right question, makes us work late for no fucking reason and on top of that changes, changes and changes.

Yes.

Both.
I had great pm's who actually listened, and communicated well with the customers.
But I had the worst pm's too, who did an awful job communicating with us. Who didn't buffer us from the customers, but just proxied the requests to us.

Mine is awesome.

He's also a developer, so he has a tremendous leg up over most.

what if you are THE PROJECT MANAGER 🤧

We hired ours from the business unit we support. He has a lot of learning to do and I help him where I can but he is a great asset to the team and a fun guy to work with. He isn't technical and asks questions and makes mistakes but he listens and adjusts. Couldn't ask for more. The head PM is always taking interesting projects from me and pushing me to work on legacy code so I'm glad he isn't my full time PM but he isn't a bad guy either.
