The problem with World of Warships is that it's Wargaming. I am familiar with their original game, and I must say it got just horrible.
The scenario where I would play skillfully, and rely on my in-game equipment performance to drive me well against a known opponent, and see that opponent severely outperforming my equipment just because it's "Limited Edition" coupled with premium (bought with cash) ammo, against which I am literally completely defenseless, is happening way too often.
The games they make are pay-to-win. It wasn't as bad before, but they keep making it worse.
The irony is that I used to pay them money regularly before it really became "pay to win". I paid to do less grinding, more playing. People now pay to win.

Anyway, I came to the realization that gaming in 2017 sucks really bad. AAA games are all basically crappy reboots that milk a franchise quite unsuccessfully, and indie games are ugly or/and buggy as hell.

Depends on which ones you play. Games like Hyper Light Drifter or Owlboy are both beautiful and run pretty well.

I used to play game rarely. Last year I played lots of counter strike. That's the only game I used to play till last week lol. And after while I don't even open and again after few months I play for while. So I never really get addicted to anything 😛 it's just for while when I'm starting 😄

used to play a shit tone of TF2

Mainly VR gaming and indiegames. Especially the games that have a great story.

And also mainly singleplayer games because Im really shit at gaming.

Strange to see someone playing world of warships

Used to play WoT and WoWS a lot, but eventually got fed up with their increasing pay2win systems.

Got back to my roots playing Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory.
Hundreds of custom maps.
Great mods.
No freemium, no pay2win, no bullshit.
Pure hardcore raw skill.

@endor I checked their website and it is ~300MB? Any additional downloads or it is an old non maintained game?

@gitpush game is from 2003, so yeah, only two small updates to install. If you play as much as I have though, you'll end up with 3-4GB of maps and other game files 🤣

There are some sites that collect and distribute maps and mods, but you can just connect to servers and play - the game will automatically download all the files you need directly from the server (best feature ever if you ask me :D).

@irene :) I also tried Warthunder. Excellent game, really loved it, for being delightful in graphics realism, and the freedom I felt in it.

However it was SOOOOO inconsistent, that it made me drop it. I had many moments where in dogfights I would tail another fighter for a whole minute, hitting it with kilograms of ammo, damaging it really badly with every hit, but with no take down, to then have a single bullet slice my airplane in half.

Either the engine was really bad with syncing stuff, or, as some people have demonstrated, it is full of cheaters. The company also banned players that made videos badmouthing the game by presenting examples of cheating by other players, just to keep things quiet....

But the game... The game was great. I feel that they broke it when they changed it so that you had to grind individual pieces of equipment, instead of individual levels.

Uninstalled few days ago !
Might install if I really want to play again

When I sense I'm getting too addicted, that is impacting other important things i just through that shit too far for while lol
