Hi guys!
That is my first...well, rant? No, not at all.

I found this community by accident. I was looking for something like this, but did not realize til now. I scrolled through some posts and it is awesome to read awesome stories and rants from awesome people.

I am a 21 year old SAP ABAP developer from Germany. I have finished my bachelor's degree (business informatics/business information management? German: Wirtschaftsinformatik) last August. I have always been interested in web development and teached myself some php basics when I was younger. I would love to do more things like that, but things have changed. There are lots of different frameworks, languages and stuff. It's complicated.

I am not sure if I have understood how this community works, but I am very excited to find out.

And, as I already mentioned, I am German. So please feel free to bash my shitty English. :D

If u want to use a framework just pick one u find interesting. I chose angular und quite happy so far :)

Regarding your question: I've finished school in 2014 and started my studies in September same year. As you're german: Ich habe ein duales Studium durchlaufen, war also gleichzeitig bei meinem aktuellen AG beschäftigt. Das Studium ging dann drei Jahre. Master habe ich momentan nicht auf dem Schirm... Bin aktuell einfach froh, dass es vorbei ist...:-)

@1989 Yeah sure! There are also lots of job offers, although they're more and more looking for JavaScript developers for their new UI called SAP Fiori.

@pihu My company offers an own software product which can be integrated in SAP standard software via Netweaver technology. We're also offering MS SharePoint integration and Web solutions like Fiori. We're specialized in Engineering Change Management, variant management... Therefore I might not be able to give you a qualified answer. But I do thing SAP finance and controlling might be fine.

@crushos we're both 21, i did my a-level 2016 and then october 2016 uni till today.
how did you get to study and even finish your study before me? you have to have skipped classes? 😅wouldn't you still be at uni like me aka in the same "life-chapter"? how have you already finished? not mad/angry/jealous/etc. at you but i'm curious😅🤔

Finished school with Abitur about May 2014, studies started September 2014, 3 years later I'm done. Seems quite normal to me.
18 finishing school, 21 finishing studies... no breaks.🙈

@crushos why were ur a-levels in 2014? began school 6 years old and did 13 years of school, normal procedure = 2016
so how did you finish 2 years earlier?

@cb219 G8. Finishing after 12 years. 12 + 6 = 18. ;-)
But for G9: 6+13 = 19. 19 + 3 = 22. So, just 1 year later?!

this difference of 1/2 years is pretty irritating 😯
this mix of G8 and G9 is just stupid 😒
