I'm now feeling much better about leaving my job, since i found out they are absolutely fucked:

- They're realizing once again that my peer wasn't doing anything and that i was the one picking up the slack.

- The kid they thought they could abuse this time doesn't actually mind missing deadlines, so they have a shitton of backlog.

- The colleague that used to babysit everyone into doing their job is finally relevant again because he's having to do that again.

- The good climate we had is fully gone now, they're killing themselves and the management is on top of them constantly

Good. I always thought that companies would get fucked if I leave but that never happened. Bit frustrating :p

@retoor I wrote code so good it just kept working after for years... so upsetting

they ended up never changing it. I was surprised and now in retrospect am angry they didn't change my code lmao

on the other hand I guess they gave me genuine compliments and money after that -- sort of, they last minute bait and switched because turns out if you're a cunt even if you found a goose that lays golden eggs you're still gonna not be able to help yourself cannibalize them at every turn

    jackasses!

so how do I find someone I want to actually contribute to?!

@jestdotty it's very unlikely they'll be able to keep my code as is, because the assholes change the business rules at their whim. because of that, they expect fast and smart coders

@jestdotty I contribute randomly on github to all kinda repos. Recently added a Dutch translation and some typo here and there. I btw fucked up fixing a typo recently - it was a generated doc so my pull was rejected :( All that low effort, for nothing :(
