Oh my god has anyone seen or used these. Ssd pci cards. From western digital? 2000 mbs read speed. That's stupid fast.

    Indeed... If these numbers are correct, it falls right between DDR100 and DDR266 ram modules of early 2K in terms of data transfer speed. I still use a Debian based Nas with 2 of these modules! Lol. I wonder if one day RAM and SSD will be fused in one single unit.

    Holy cow i didnt think they could read that fast. But than wouldnt your bottle neck be your motherboard?

    @skprog not really, cpu bandwidth is something like ~30 GB/s

    I have one Samsung 980 NVM 3200/2900, you feel the difference if you compare to a normal 500/500 SSD

    I have a PCIe one. 1000mbps like 5yrs old. It has to load a driver on startup which doesn't make it boot faster than an HDD. But after booting it's fast
