Can we please stop with the multiverse crap? Please, just stop.
I watched Deadpool & Wolverine yesterday and what a shitshow.
Logan was an excellent send-off to Wolverine. An excellent one.
It showed that Marvel can actually make good movies.
Why did Marvel have to ruin it?

The issue with multiverse plotlines is that nothing is ever serious, there are no stakes, nothing matters.
Anyone who dies can come back. Anything that happens can be reversed.
Just. Fucking. Stop.

One of my favourite franchises, Mortal Kombat, got ruined with MK1 multiverse story.
Played the game for about 30 minutes then deleted it. What a disappointment.

From now on, if a movie features multiverse or time travel crap, I ain't watching.

    Super Hero Movies = dead

So they even killed Deadpool. Wow, they can ruin anything.

To be fair, the movie starts with Deadpool warning you that he's gonna fuck up logan. So at least there was a headsup

Movie was perfect for the covertly homosexual demographic it was aimed at

    @spoiledgoods As a heterosexual, I liked those jokes a lot. 😂

Standalone time travel shows are great! The multiverse stuff is just lazy, it makes everything meaningless... A bit like scoreboards in gaming these days...

@bazmd the best multiverse was in Futurama. There was just one parallel universe. That was it. They just waved to the people in the other universe.

@Demolishun Futurama has some great comedy moments, most people enjoy intelligent writing and the chemistry between the characters, it's actually a straightforward formula.

do believe their goal is to make white males as uncomfortable as possible, so I heard
  • 2
@Demolishun I'm sorry Futurama is not comparable to marvel. it had some actual brains behind it, and sense

Doing bullsht in all movie and then revealing a little good info. That is what is going on.

Rick and Morty also a multiverse aspect, but they don't overdo it. The Citadel of Ricks was pretty funny.

I used to love it when it was a relatively minor storytelling gimmick in shows like Adventure Time and the Mirror Universe in Star Trek. I even wanted the story I'm writing to incorporate it.

But now, it's so absolutely done to death that I've realized it makes everything essentially "it was a dream the whole time". Better to write a story with actual stakes so your audience feels the tension and fears for the characters in the story than to write one where nothing actually matters at all.

@Lensflare yeah covertly gay people tend to enjoy the "no homo bro" humour, so that tracks

    @spoiledgoods shots fired...woohoo!
  • 1
@Demolishun fire a shot right on my face daddy

    .....or something
  • 1
@spoiledgoods I thought about saying "cum shots fired", but it felt a bit overboard.
  • 1
@spoiledgoods wait are you saying that I’m covertly gay?
  • 1
@Lensflare well, I heard you play EA games so...
  • 1
@Lensflare no, you're saying it repeatedly

@spoiledgoods yeah I have a friend who swear he isnt gay but his hobby is shoving his balls in peoples face (like litterally). One day he stappled 100 euros bills in them for fun.

But he was on ketamine also so that's cheating

@mostr4am I was at a party a few weeks back and this one dude was so obsessed with me, would not stop commenting on how beautiful I was and how he couldn't talk to me or look me in the eye.

It was kinda funny at first, everyone had a laugh because I am on the prettier side and have long hair, but it quickly got super weird and I had to basically get away from him lol

By the end of the night he was trying to fight me so bad his wife had to drag him away and leave. Whole thing was super unsettling but rest assured, bro was definitely rubbing his balls on people when he was younger

@spoiledgoods so I had this dude I worked with that I had to travel with. He was hyper critical of me talking to women on travel. Now I wonder if he was jonesing for my ass.

@Demolishun hard to say, but could be. He could've been concerned with professionalism or maybe your significant other, if you had one.

I bet there are other factors if you lean toward that conclusion though, such as the fact that you guys spooned nightly, alternating big spoon, and had a cute brunch date the next day with mimosas and eggs benedict (more like bene-dicked amiright? haha see I could write for Marvel movies with this shit), may also contribute to such conclusions
