My point is, that a PROGRAMMING school should support all platforms if they consists that we have to bring our own machines to class.

    You are correct. Also a programming school shouldn't even enforce a programming language for a course of programming, as long as the language you've chosen supports the features being taught.

    i wouldnt care if they didnt support my personal os, but it would be nice i guess

    I don't say that because of whatever OS they use but because VB is a terrible language by design and doesn't offer much future and I would much rather teach students something relevant to logical operations and general language customs, hell, even python would be a better choice
