If you’re sentenced to life in prison, you can’t escape and you can’t kill yourself, would you rather go to American technocratic panopticon hell like ADX Florence (think El Chapo’s cell) or Madagascar’s Antananarivo shithole?

    I would say, one with the best hygiëne. But you'll probably get used to bad hygiene very quickly if you don't have another option. Pause times to go outside and being able to read smth is important when locked up. But the reason you want to go out is also because other people make you crazy. So, I choose the place with the most less crazy people. Probably it's the place with books and better hygiene too. It comes with +++. Like a better job doesn't only get a higher pay, but also benefits.

    The American is thousand times better huh. Why you ask, you mean that he got nicely away with it?

    @retoor I ask because technohell inmates desperately try to commit suicide with everything they have access too, including food, but the system is designed to prevent that

    @kiki the inmates in Madagascar less?

    @retoor it seems like it, yeah

    @kiki so, what's your choice?

    Thinking about it, it‘s inhumane to prevent someone from committing suicide and let them suffer in a hell which is worse than death.

    @Lensflare some deserve that. Like the ones who wage and command wars, who kill thousands by the extension of their authority. Those bastards deserve eternal suffering without any humanism.

    @iiii I actually disagree. No matter how much of a monster someone is, no one deserves that.
    It also doesn’t help anyone. Making him suffer doesn’t undo the things that he did to deserve that.
    We need to be better than those monsters.

    @Lensflare sometimes, a precedent is have to be made. If we had a dictator who faced gruesome death because of what he did, and made him a poster child, dictators who are just getting started will think twice.

    People mess with cops, but no one mess with MS13 because of their methods of making statements so to speak.

    I’m tired of being fair to those who don’t give a damn about fairness

    @kiki honestly I don’t think that it would prevent other monsters from doing what they do.
    And it’s not about fairness. Maybe doing cruel things to someone would be fair, but would it be necessary? Would it change anything?
    If cruelty has no other purpose than "it’s what they deserve", then, imo it’s wrong.

    @Lensflare I think it does change things in this case. No one is offering to bail Putin out because it will set precedent that if you’re dictator enough to hold the entire nation hostage, Americans will give you a billion dollars plus a private jet to your own island

    @kiki wait, which case? :)
    Your original post was about the prison. In that case, no one would probably know what is going on in that prison, so there would be no deterrent effect.

    @Lensflare broadcast it

    @Lensflare it does not undo. It's just retribution and intimidation for anyone else to reconsider doing such stupid shit yet again.

    @Lensflare this dumb and pointless humanism is what causing modern issues. I understand humanism when the damage is small. but when it's colossal, humanism has no place, the monster has to be shred to pieces, then fed to his retinue and then them shred to pieces as well.
