You’d be surprised that the percentage of people that use Windows in JP is extremely overwhelming. At least that what I’ve read before, somewhere.

@Japorized Asian characters rendering and input are pretty much after thoughts, if not hacks, on Linux, not just X, even MS-DOS were better. Mac used to be the same, something changed after 10.4 Tiger it’s very good now.

@stop from what i have seen in the first episode its fucking dreadful imho. The most generic light novel dribble ever.i don't think it will go interesting places or do something creative with the fact that the MC is a programmer.
But we can still hope i suppose...

@cyanly Even so, there doesn’t seem to be an agreement for how the characters should be rendered. Most Chinese and Japanese characters that render on Windows just gets treated as gibberish on others for example, making certain “hack-y” ports for *nix systems, like wine, a pain in the arse to use when it comes to rendering characters other than alphabets.

The last part was partly a rant on my end.

Generating UML after finishing the code? That’s a little...backwards?

@deusprogrammer Maybe it’s done for the sake of documentation? Cause the final implementation may differ from the original UML?

Or maybe he’s a genius that just made the program without first going through a UML, and then for the sake of documentation...
