Confession: I believe some ranters (even a couple of the most popular ones) make up stories, characters and situations they think will be popular, or that fits with their «image» on devRant. As if they are stand up comedians or something. It really gives me a bad taste in my mouth, but I never called someone out because it's a dick thing to do and you can't really know if its true.

    I also find some stories weird, but you know, the dev world is really weird.

    Maybe some are false, but I think most of them are true

    @RedBorg yeah, that's basically how I think too, it just ruins the vibe in this community if its all about who can make up the best stories and get the most ++.

    Unlike what you are doing right now, I am not telling people what they should or should not post. I am just saying my opinion, without attacking anyone.

    @Floydian I'm personally with you on this one.

    Tbh not every detail of some rants I do is entirely correct but that's because my memory sucks and I want to rant it out anyways. (like the exact words people say sometimes)

    @disolved And with my memory sucks I don't mean it as in 'omg my memory sucks!!!'
    I mean it in, I've had (unconfirmed) insomnia for two years which made that my short term memory is quite fucking bad now and it won't turn better for the rest of my life probs so I forget details and stuffs veeeery quickly :/

    @linuxxx hey man, no one is shaming or blaming anyone for not remembering exact situations or phrasings! 😊 But then I guess the more one fills in the gaps, the more artificial/incredible the story sounds? 🤔 hmmm.

    @marthulu Nah dw, sleeping 2-3 hours a night for two years does the trick as well 😜
