That moment when you ctrl+R and type "hist" for history...the lazyness...within the lazyness

I have two stories one as a victim and one as a "hacker"
Victim story: I did an installation on a research center a few years ago and the servers where directly connected to the internet. The next day I did see that someone from China had logged in...i did a clean install immediately.

Hacker story: I did help a friend of mine once for a uni project (lamp/ftp server) . While we were setting up our server, we checked the servers of the students that had finished their project and had them online. We obtained the password for the FTP server (it was available for the teacher to check) so ftped to the machine and there was no jail for the FTP.... I searched for joomla config and found the password for the database...

I leave the rest to your imagination...

Just replaced my dead battery on my Dell XPS 13 2013 with a brand new one. One whole month I was unable to unplug without a shutdown, not to mention that I couldn't boot it easy due to the dead battery... finally... justice.

So a colleague returned from fossdem...

Not installing Linux on my first day of college.

So there I was a Linux enthusiast stuck in a windows job for about 3 years. I would spend my weekends doing Linux related tasks for my personal amusement, while I spent my week doing windows maintenance and development (partially) professionally.
It was about 2014 I started building an openstack cluster at home and i was so stoked! I searched for openstack summits or meetups and for my surprise there was an openstack meetup in my town. Holly 🐄 I said.
The date of the event came and I left work earlier to attend the meetup.
There , I had a talk with the meetup organizer/speaker and he told he was interested in what I was doing and that they were going to open a job in the next months.

A few months later still at my boring job I got an email from him for an interview.
Everything went just about right...and here I am a Linux systems engineer doing everything I love for a living...
