Exp. that made me doubt my skills?

My non programming sister managed to find a bug I was looking for...

I couldn't find the problem for hours and she just looks at the screen and goes "That looks odd!"

A fresh set of eyes is always a good addition!

I too have a sister-related dev experience. It was actually she who was the first of us to get interested in programming and she introduced me to it.

My wife did that before! Killed me! Hahaha

Then again, she does look over my shoulder a lot to see what I’m doing.

Sometimes you need to look at it at a different angle.

in art class, if we've felt like the peice was finisged but still lacking, the teacher would give it back to us the next day and usually we would see something. you might need to step away for an hour or two before you can see a bug like that 😀
