Been engaged in a silly-client-request VS stubborn-developer war since last week. They wanted a textbox where they enter decimals - generally in the form 1.234 - to automatically put the decimal point after the first number.
"What if it's 10.xxx or 100.xxx?"
"That won't happen"
"How much time will it really save them having to press another key?"
"Why, how long will it take you to do the fix?"
Etc, ridiculousness and rage increasing exponentially...
Common sense finally prevailed today. Just think of all those wasted milliseconds having to press the "." key.

    Gotta play the devil's(client's) advocate here: If I was typing in numbers like that all day, all week, I would love to be able to not push the «.» key every time, because it's not on my num pad, unlike «,».

    No, fair point here. Although this just further highlights the client's lack of thought when demanding silly features.

    A not so ridiculous solution would be a fixed decimal system where you insert the decimal after 3 digits
