Which search engine do you use on a daily basis?

always find what I want on Google, never really tried Bing or anything else

@azous Yeah, me too. I already used duckduckgo.com but their results are not so accurate. Bing is a joke. Haha

I really liked the idea behind Ecosia (each search helps planting a tree), but the fact that their "automatically show Google's results" option never worked correctly, made me not use it :/ Cause they do have their own search engine, but obviously is not as good...

With that said, I'll give it another try, since the last time I used was a few months ago x)

@azous are you from Brazil? 'Cadê' was a Brazilian search engine.

@P3t3r6 I will try it. :) I know some services in Brazil, which are not related to web searches, but you can "adopt" a tree. You/your company pay a monthly fee, around USD10 and they plant a tree.

@P3t3r6 well keep in mind that google personalizes the results via tracking you, and the website pretty much prevents that (as with DuckDuckGo, which has !g to look in google and !so for stackoverflow)

so yeah the better google are at finding results the better they know you :)

@dev-nope Yea, I know, but the thing is that their search 'database' is still too empty, so it doesn't return much (relevant) results most of the time. And when using Google I do most of my searches in a private window to kind of avoid that 'tracking' you're talking about

@P3t3r6 I think that doesn't work too well either, I only kinda trust DuckDuckGo, although keep using google most of the time.

P.S main sell point for DuckDuckGo for me was, theming 😎 😀

Best part of duckduckgo for me is the ability to show some kind of currency and maths in a nice way.

@dev-nope For sure, it's never as 'private' as they claim... But still, avoids some naggs. For example my girlfriend once used my laptop and searched for some fashion blogs and whatever, and now I get fashion updates in my Google Now from time to time 😂

I use google. I used to use duckduckgo for a while, but it gave less hits for me so I went back to google.
