    What have you done now? :D

    @Linux nothing :O

    I was adding MX records and I think I did it pretty good. But I think it's a dumb system.... Or I understand it to little...

    Still... I get errors regarding the reverse DNS entry. I feel useless.

    Why is it a good system? It works perfect and when you understand it - it is logical and simple.

    The reverserecord is something you set at your hostingprovider.

    @Linux I did, but when I enter the websites domain it complains about not valid hostname. When I enter the FQDN it complains about hostname not matching.

    I talk about SMTP teats

    For example:
    You have a website called zero.com
    You have a emailserver that is called mail.zero.com
    You set up a A record to mail.zero.com with the IP to that server.
    Then you add a MX record at @, like this:
    @ MX 10 mail.zero.com

    @Linux what is when both are on one server?

    @Divisionbyzero

    @ MX 10 zero.com

    It is not recommended to have the website and mailserver on the same server thou.

    Why is that?

    @Divisionbyzero
    Website is hacked - the reputation of the server goes down the drain.
    Also, if they want to send spam from your domain, there is nothing that stops them because SPF will align.

    @Linux OK, if that happens I will take the gun anyways. Because my wife is going to kill me with a broken bottle, if she gets me.
