    How do you mean this?

@NMerz The statement is supporting the stereotype that MongoDB loses data randomly.

@ApsOps ok thanks. I did not know that. I use MongoDB for some Small projects and had no data loss.

@ApsOps from where come out this stereotype? I've never lost data :o

@crisz There are lots of blog posts about it.

You use the right tool for the job. Picking a tool because it's catchy or a buzzword is just bad development.

@ApsOps Maybe try fully understanding a technology before publicly bashing it: https://news.ycombinator.com/item/...

I've used MongoDB in production for mission critical infrastructure at medium/high scale for over 2 years and have never experienced data loss when using the system correctly.

@blackmarket Maybe you were just lucky :)

I know that MongoDB is used by Amazon and a lot of other high-level websites

@ApsOps I suppose I could have been lucky, everyday, for two years, while building dozens of apps, for millions of users. I suppose all the other millions of high scale services that depend on MongoDB are probably just lucky too. Or the idiot you're basing this misguided rant on wasn't a dev or DB admin and couldn't come to terms with that so he blamed the DB. You know what they say about shitty carpenters?
