I really dont understand how if I show someone my website or give them the link they're like What is it? and i just want to say
"I wonder... IF ONLY THERE WAS A FUCKING PARAGRAPH ON THE FRONT PAGE AS YOU OPEN THE SITE THAT TELLS YOU WHAT IT IS, oh you still dont understand? THEN FUCKING SCROLL THE FUCK DOWN AND READ THE REST!"
It seems like every time I show someone it IRL, this is exactly what happens, it's like they've never used the internet and never had to scroll down for more content.

Reminds me that my site for a while had just a picture of me on the front.

To get to the menu, you have to click on my picture..

The only thing on the screen..

But folk said they found it confusing what to do next.

So I added a large arrow with the words inside saying 'CLICK HERE'.

No more complaints after that. :-)

@Nanos so should I point an arrow to the text that says "READ HERE" and an arrow to the scrollbar that says "SCROLL TO READ MORE"? Lol

@Xaldos well most the site is large ass pictures, and the first block of text is only 39 words, and you only need to read the first sentence, 20 words, to understand it.

I remember on a dating site someone put that they liked reading.

I asked what their current book was.

They replied they had only read one book ever, when they was under 10, and now all they read is the TV guide.

Then they asked me nicely if I could stop writing sentences longer than one line, and not use big words..

After that, we quickly ran out of conversation material. :-)

There was a suitably related video I saw the other week regarding this issue, but I can't find it easily among my 1.6 million character notes of interesting things I saw on the internet this year..
