We need more standards in this world...

    well they may still have to adapt to progress to stay practical, but of course they need to keep their conventions and not keep adding new things on their own. I think especially in the unix world there is just SO MUCH JUNK which all does the same but works differently. Having some kind of software standard would speed things up through the roof.

    I actually think that the system (at least in Germany) is not all that bad.. it is rather the teachers or ministers who fail.. although that might be because of the system... I think the large hierarchies are bad.

    We need more standards because people/organisations/countries don’t follow the existing ones :D

    @gnulinuxer4fun in north America at least, the best solution is to abolish teacher's unions. Then we simply allow the superior educators to out compete their ineffective predecessors.

    The bad thing about standards is there's so many to choose from.
