devrant keeps crashing randomly maybe with notifications

Same here! Which device do you have? Mine is nexus 4 with Android 6.0.1 and CM13

The problem is not related to the version of Android...

I do not want to be mean or disrespect @dfox work, but I always wanted to get started with android and the material design principles. I like them, so I decided to create a native android client for devrant. I am halfway through (missing authentication and voting). So if you guys have interest, I can upload it if you are OK with it dfox.

The project is definitely fun to make, I always liked Java and making apps with it is super cool ^^

@SirWindfield you're welcome to let people use it/open source it if you want, but we don't really want any third-party devRant clients in the Google Play store right now as we think it would create confusion and make it hard for people to identify the official version, amongst other issues.

We also have the issue of third party apps asking for user credentials, which is a security issue. We're ok with it if users are aware they are taking some level of risk, but it will be better when we have an official API and method of authentication like oath. I will keep everyone updated. An official API is definitely high on our list right now.

@dfox I wouldn't upload it to google play for sure. Would just put it up on github, linking to you guys and the official app and that's it. I mean, it is basically just a project that I made for fun.

@altermind thanks, will take a look, there is a recent issue with notifications that I think I know what's causing it.
