I agree only with 5th point.

My current laptop can't afford to run AS let alone compile so I had to move to VS Code and Flutter at the moment.

You dont need the Emulator though, just connect your own device.

    Only 5th point

Switch to react native or ionic

@Zerocchi tried the Hamilton app thing built with flutter and it had shitty fps on my device, is it just flutter being in alpha or something else? Have you built a decently large app with it? I'm not *totally* convinced by it :/

I quite like Android studio 🤔

I agree only with 5#, the rest are fine.
Studio is actually amazing not sure why the hate, yeah it does take RAM but it's cheap, emulator you got genymotion or just use ur device.

@Zerocchi how's flutter in terms of performance?
  • 1
    Agreed 😂

@Gostwow @sohilkaushal I admit it's not as good as native in terms of performance currently, probably because it's still in alpha (beta yesterday). Never built any large apps with it yet but so far it's acceptable for me in terms of speed and workflow.

switched to gradle minded company. my life sux now. how can anyone think this pos tool supports or results in a maintainable build process

Try NDK development to some real bad shit.

@Zerocchi you think it's a good idea to move to Flutter from React Native??
  • 3
Not saying Android Studio is good, but I definitely do not miss Eclipse.

@ahmadhsalim try this page, and see if it's float your boat

    https://flutter.io/flutter-for-reac...

Flutter is still in beta, and RN is used widely so I don't think it's worth to switch completely. But as a side project or for experiment purpose, you should try it. You'll feel at home. 😉

@Zerocchi thanks. Why didn't I see this page before. Already learned the basics

@ahmadhsalim the page just available yesterday that's why you don't see it before 😂
