Got my home lab set up today.

    If that's Kali on the right, you might want to look at Black Arch or ArchStrike. They're penetrating and general hacking distributions. Black Arch is really more of a repo than a standalone distro, but they have their slightly modified Arch installer with a few extra tools.

    @Willyb321 I haven't touched Kali since it was still called Backtrack. Definitely entertaining to poke around with, though.

    and you are using synergy for the mouse and keyboard?
    what are the purpose of this setup?

    since when did Kali start shipping with gnome?! and yeah! what's the purpose of this??

    @kai18 Kali implemented Gnome on v2.0 .... personally loving the interface, it does slows down a bit on lighter machines

    The lab is designed for application exploitation/reverse engineering and network exploitation. Also, there is no other software running my setup other than virtualbox. Each machine has 8GB of RAM, aside from the host which is running 16GB. I also have a VM of Win10, working on hunting my Win7 disc and have a friend supplying a WinXP disc.
