I'm almost impressed with how poor communication is within the company, given how small we are.

With less than 30 people, how did we manage getting half of the company having no idea what the other is doing?!

What?! We had that at the last company I worked for.

We tried Slack, but some things were still getting through the cracks.

Then we had a final Friday thing when the manager would let everyone else in the company know what everyone is doing.
