Maybe I'm just clueless and missing this somewhere, but I don't see any explanation for noobs on what's a rant/story and what's a devRant. If this is a place for devs to rant, and it defaults to rant/story, I'm just confused.

This is essentially a community for developers, sysadmins, IT support, ect to rant, tell stories, and share jokes/memes.

I'd say there is a difference between a rant and a story. Rants usually involve a lot of cursing and/or lots of capital letters. Whereas a story tends to be more calmer and good even be a good story.

What I meant was that when you click to post, you can post a "Rant/Story" or a "devRant", as well as a joke/meme, off topic, etc. It's those primary two that I don't understand that difference.

I'm excited to have stumbled on this site. As a remote worker, I have zero office camaraderie so this should be fun!

The category "devRant" is for postings about the app, the community, the stickers etc.(explanation from devRant as I tapped the first time on it).

A rant and story is something you want to share with us that is funny or you're angry about. (or both xD)

@ThinkBigDev Thanks! I don't see any explanation on my end when I click on either one. Just the title of the category along the top, and "The rant starts here" as placeholder text.
