I think it will be hard for Facebook to recover from this.

It seems like most people can tell that it is toxic.

Of course, a heroin addict would tell you they know heroin is bad, that doesn’t mean they are gonna stop using.

So FB isn’t going anywhere (they already have their needle in a lot of veins), but I’m not sure that even the addicts will see them the same way again.

To a lot of people Facebook IS the internet unfortunately.

@QAgMire honestly. I have little intention on deleting. Just leaving it dormant. For a similar reason.

Numerous times I have been chatting someone up and things are going well only to get the statement (not question)...

“Let me add you on Facebook :)”

Which normally is a good sign.

But almost every time I responded with...

    “I don’t use Facebook”

I get looked at like I have 3 heads.

    Now I say...

“Sure.” Then when they add me I finish with “I don’t use Facebook much though, so let’s text! :)”

Keeping up appearances I guess haha

Disabled my account... Removed app from my phone and only kept Facebook messenger for now as I tell my contacts to switch to using telegram to speak to me..... Already been a week and where I could waste an evening watching stupid videos (I stopped posting ages ago)

I've now been reading more tech articles.... Following medium blogs and doing dev stuff on my phone instead....

Productivity outside of work has dramatically increased!

They also have 50 subsidiaries.. you want to get them on something that might stick, go the antitrust route
