Friendly reminder, please check the fire alarms in your house.

Buy a fire extinguisher if you don't have one.

Our living room had a small fire in the morning but my father quickly put it out. The cause was a candle left out last night

only you can prevent housefires! (I was just thinking about getting an extinguisher last night)

@TerraNimbus-io indeed, Saturday evening me and a couple of friends was hanging out and playing some games.

I'm going to sleep at my friend place that lives in the small house we are staying at.

Everyone goes home and my friend goes to sleep and I watch an movie (Back to the future 2)

About half way through the movie all shit breaks lose, I see an bright flickering light outside the house from the window, I go around to the front and the entire porch is on fire, I run and wake up my friend and we dive out an window then proceed to throw snow at the fire and await emergency services to arrive.

We somehow managed to save the interior from burning but everything is smoke damaged.

We don't have fire alarms here in India.

@CozyPlanes There might be one regarding fire extinguishers though.

No alarms or extinguishers where I live... only hoses on the ground floor

@Cyanide there are different alarm types that ignores steam and temperature
