But holy shit Ubisoft are pulling the dead out of the ground and breathing new life into things!

First assassin's Creed origins being a perfect return to form and now FARCRY 5, what is happening with the world??

In case of doubt, always remember: Trump is President

Really? From what I’ve seen FC5 is a total shitstorm bug fest.

Also don't forget Rainbow Six Siege (best fps currently), For Honor (has dedicated servers now and it's awesome) and The Division (the newest patch makes the game much better)

Ubisoft's new policy is to provide content for their existing games for profit, and not release new games every year.

It's a win win situation for everyone tbh.

@Brolls I've played it for 10 hours now and haven't found a single bug

@Milenchy what platform? I’ve watched some youtubers play it multiplayer and the bugs have been hilarious.

@Brolls PC, game logic should be the same

@Milenchy should be. Never really is though, and multiplayer always adds complications.

@Brolls I mean there are the usual Ubisoft things like weird physics, my car getting hit by something invisible and disappearing, and other weird things (just now remembered about these), but all in all it's a fairly stable game with good performance

    And that sexy temporal antialiasing

I don't know about FC5, but I have heard that ACO is super-gross with microtransactions, with gameplay designed to give you the choice between mindless annoying grinding and paying money to bypass it.

@bahua Not really. The content is fun to play and the microtransactions are pretty non intrusive. Same with FC5

ACO is pretty good but I think it suffers from open world syndrome. Like it's unnecessary to have 9 million generic fetch quests to have a good game

@bahua I haven't had any experience like that, never had to grind or was ever really asked to spend more money on microtransactions, FARCRY 5 seems to be the same, I'm more surprised and how bold they were with all the changes, they're almost like a new IP

@unmarked true but they felt like they actually had character to me, rather than just a pointer to somewhere, there was generally some searching required and dialogue to listen to that actually told a story

FC5 did so much well (I hated FC4 to its core, getting sniped half across the map and never having enough health and trying too hard open worlding it [where tf am I supposed to/can go now?])

yet co-op doesn't reward your partner with resistance points, quickly making it a bad game to play with someone else, sadly, it's such a disconnection between everything else - teleport? your partner gets teleported with you

lost a mission? it gives you autosaves, have to quit game to resume later? all the progress up to this second will be saved and restored once you spawn again and much more

it did so much well and the interview did confirm that they checked every single part of the game if you can co-op it

yet they made such a big mistake by not rewarding the co-op partner with the same RP as you, leaving him with only the basic weapons (which do 0 damage), if he doesn't want to spend real currency.
