Classical is very stimulating for writing code. “The Mozart Effect” is a great read on this subject.

While I usually listen to metal, I also code while listening to:

    Camille Saint Saëns
    Mozart
    Tchaikovsky
    Vivaldi
    Henryk Gorecki
    etc.

Bach is okay, too. Tends to be too distracting though.

Lately I have switched from classical to opera... give it a try. Some recommendations:

    - the barber of seville
    - carmen
    - la traviata

There some from Wagner that are very good, too.
